As the old adage goes, “Home is where the heart is.”  To make an active, living community requires investment of the people in the health of their environment, and a physical and programmatic environment that in turn supports the people.  A crucial element to achieving this dynamic balance takes community involvement, development and support of local programs, and outreach processes that can touch the citizenry.

Martin & Sanders Consulting, LLC, has experience in program development, public outreach, community event planning, and program material development that engages people.  We believe in community, and our commitment shows.

Types of service we provide:

• Program Development — engagement for project-specific programs, such as outreach of local food plans, walkability plans, sustainability plans, etc.
• Public Outreach — assistance in guiding a public outreach process for visioning efforts.
• Community Event Planning — develop, assist and coordinate events guiding public engagement or community programs.
• Comprehensive Plan Update — gap analysis of comprehensive plans against current GMA and county plan requirements; develop visioning and public engagement process.

Projects:

City of Snoqualmie ~ Comprehensive plan update process: conduct gap analysis with GMA, PSRC Vision 2040 and King County Plan; develop public outreach process; draft new comprehensive plan elements for full compliance; and integration of sustainability strategies.

Department of Neighborhoods, City of Seattle ~ Part of graduate-level studio developing best practice programs for application in local neighborhoods; included facilitation of outreach groups.
